Excitement is in the Air

April 29, 2016

I am so excited to be starting this new chapter in my life! We have a lot of things happening…Starting with this blog!

I wanted to connect with the clients whom I adore, show the community that the business is soaring on its own and passing the ultimate test (being successful in the absence of the owner) Charity Faye is here to stay! And maybe the biggest news of my life… my husband and I are expecting our first little bundle of joy in November! So in an effort to get to know Charity Faye Spa, lets start with me – Charity!

I was born and raised on a potato farm just outside of Winkler. Growing up on a farm with the best parents on earth shaped who I am and everything I stand for.

I stand for justice (nothing boils my blood like injustice and people being mistreated). I absolutely love people! Just thinking about the people I’ve met, the ones I am going to meet and those already in my life brings the biggest smile to my face.

What better way to show love than to be able to serve. and serving can be done in SO many ways, but my call in life was to be able to pamper people! How amazing and lucky am I?!?! Best job ever!! My dad always said that if you find something you love to do, you will never work a day in your life….. So I guess I haven’t worked a day in my life! I wake up every morning and can’t wait to go to work and I strive to provide a place where other people can do the same.

Money doesn’t matter… if you got paid all the money in the world to do a job you hate, you would still ultimately be miserable. Oh but to do a job you love, isn’t that reward enough?! I think so! I am a servant and I love serving people…Always have and always will! I have been an esthetician for 12 years! If I didn’t love what I did I can guarantee I wouldn’t still be doing it and LOVING it!

I currently live in central California with my husband Josh. We live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, an hour from the worlds biggest tree – the General Sherman, and two hours from the coast, Pismo beach. Now that you know a bit about me, I’d like to share a bit about my passion and its important role in my life!

I’ve always been part of the Beauty and Wellness industry in all aspects, so working out, eating healthy and taking care of myself has always been a priority to me. Working out was something I never put on the back burner and always made time for.

I’ve also always eaten healthy for the most part… as healthy as you can for not being able to cook! Seriously! I was a disaster in the kitchen so healthy eating was a challenge. Thankfully, since moving to California (being the type of person that cannot sit still for 2 minutes) I have had the time to learn and become an excellent chef, baker and housewife!

So even though I’m not able to physically go into work everyday, I still get to work in the Beauty and Wellness industry, just from a slightly different angle…seriously we are what we eat! I believe that what we eat is directly related to how we feel and look on a cellular level! And I’m not just talking about weight, it affects hair, skin and nails too!

I’m always looking for better ways for Charity Faye Spa to serve the amazing community of Winkler; it’s a joy, honor and privilege to be a part of the Winkler business community. So thank you for giving Charity Faye Spa the opportunity to serve you for the past 10 years. We want you to know how much we appreciate each and every one of you! We look forward to so many more years to come!
